Sofia Vergara Is The Highest Paid TV Actress – our favourite hot Latino actress has just been revealed as the top-earning woman in television over the last 12 months.

Forbes estimated that Sofia had earned around $19m (£12.1m) in the year to May 2012. Most of this came via her contract for the role of Gloria in hit US show Modern Family which airs on the ABC network. However she also has some fairly major endorsements with Diet Coke and Kmart and a deal for her own clothing line which helped to bring in the millions too.

Her multi-million pound earning power does explain how the Colombian born actress managed to pick up the estimated $2m bill for the 108 strong party of family and friends she flew out to the Rosewood Mayakoba resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico recently to celebrate her 40th birthday.

Her profile has not also not been harmed by the steamy set of photos that were published in GQ Mexico showing that even at the age of 40-years old the actress was quite happy to pose topless for the magazine, showing off her enviable curves. Her curvaceous figure has always been a big part of the actress’s appeal and she has often been known as Sofia Viagra for obvious reasons!

One thing about Sofia that is less well known is her Latino based media empire, Latin World Entertainment, which deals with such major clients as Disney and Paramount and is thought to have had an income of around $27m in 2011 with a very healthy 20% profit margin.

Coming in just behind Sofia on the list of top women earners on tv was reality star Kim Kardashian who Forbes estimated to have earned around £11.4 m last year.Coming in at 3rd place on the list is former Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria who earned herself a cool $15m last year.

2012 Emmy Nominations – today saw the release of the nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards.

The UK had a few notable successes with mentions for both Downton Abbey and Sherlock. There were also mentions for series that started off here in the UK before being adapted for the US market such as Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, Antiques Roadshow, Dancing With The Stars (Strictly to us!) and Who Do You Think You Are. The list of nominees seemed to upset a few US commentators with many feeling that some worthy productions had been left out.

Emmy Awards  - there were some British winners when the Emmys were awarded last night with the big winning shows on the night being Homeland, Modern Family and HBO’s Sarah Palin drama Game Change, which all took home 4 awards.

Downton Abbey also did well taking home 3 awards including the best supporting actress award for Dame Maggie Smith. Downton was nominated for 16 awards which made it the most nominated ever British show at the Emmys.

The big winner in the drama category was Homeland with Damien Lewis taking the award for Best Actor and Claire Danes winning the Best Actress award. Homeland also took the award for Best Drama Series which spoilt Mad Men’s chances of taking home a new record 5th win in the category.

Modern Family was the star of the comedy category winning the award for Best Comedy Series for the 3rd year running, with the show’s director Steven Levitan taking Best Comedy Series Director. As well as these 2 awards Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen won the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress. Eric has recently been linked to Charlize Theron who were introduced to each other through a mutual friend.

The evening started off a little badly for Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara who suffered a wardrobe malfunction a few minutes before the awards started. Her famously curvy body evidently put too much strain on her Zuhair Murad teal mermaid style dress which split at the rear showing a little too much of Sofia’s bottom for US television. She managed to get repairs done in time to appear on stage but posted the photo here of her bottom showing through the split in her dress.

Sofia was not the only actress to show plenty of curves at this year’s Emmys with 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings pouring her ample breasts into a very low-cut J Mendel dress. Iron Man 2 star Olivia Munn also showed off plenty of cleavage in her black plunging Armani Prive Couture dress.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the Emmys this year which were televised live from the Nokia Theater in LA.

Sofia Vergara Posts Hot Swimsuit Picture – the Modern Family actress showed us that she is still in good shape after her Christmas celebrations when she posted a picture of herself wearing a sexy one-piece swimsuit.

The 40-year old actress is currently on holiday in Miami and posted this photo of herself on her Whosay account with the comment ‘Holyday!’

She shows that with a body as hot as hers you can still look great in a one-piece swimsuit and they can look just as hot as a tiny bikini. In case you were wondering the swimsuit in question is a black and white number from Agent Provocateur.

Sofia, who is on holiday with several family members and fiance Nick Loeb, has just finished filming some sizzling scenes with Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone for the movie Fading Gigalo. Several publications got very excited a week or two back when they reported scenes showing the busty Latino lovely ‘spilling out of her black lace lingerie.’

Although the scenes involve Sofia hanging around the bedroom in black lingerie it seems that early reports of her appearing to seduce Sharon Stone’s character in the movie are premature. Sofia told Extra ‘No lesbian loving.. somebody, I don’t know, thought it was more interesting to write, “Oh, Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara, they have to have like a lesbian scene.’

Fading Gigolo is set to open at UK and US cinemas late 2013.

Georgia Salpa Wants To Win FHM World’s Sexiest Woman Title – the Greek/Irish model has launched an early bid to secure the title of FHM’s Sexiest Woman In The World 2013.

The 27-year old came 5th in last year’s poll as well as becoming 2012′s highest new entry after her hot looks won her many fans after her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

The 2012 poll was won by Tulisa much to many people’s surprise and it seems that Georgia is not expecting her to trouble her too much in this years contest as she has name-checked English model Daisy Lowe and Olivia Palermo from US reality show The City as being likely contenders for this year’s Sexiest Woman title.

Georgia is posing in her underwear in this month’s FHM as the mag launches this year’s search for the World’s Sexiest Woman. Georgia has made no secret of the fact that she would love to win the title and she is certainly popular in many countries other than the UK having regularly appeared in magazines in Russia and also in her part homeland of Greece.

The busty model seems to appeal to many of the same group of fans who admire the naturally curvaceous look of Sophia Vergara, Beyonce, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Christina Hendricks. For many people sometimes more can actually be more!

Sofia Vergara Has Deadly Weapons – the curvy Latino is certainly best known for her striking figure but her breasts are due to make more of an impact than normal by the look of the poster for her new movie Machete Kills.

The stunning looking 40-year old is of course best known for playing Jay Pritchett’s sexy young Colombian wife in the award-winning US tv series Modern Family. Although she has been nominated 3 times for the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series there is little doubt that she is seen as the biggest star in the series these days. Certainly last year Sofia was the highest earning woman in US television earning a huge $12m in the year up to July 2012.

Sofia plays the character of Madame Desdemona in the new movie which is directed by Robert Rodriguez, a man who is known for appreciating the finer things that South America offers. His earlier movie of 2010 Machete gained the tag of a Mexploitation film and from the look of the poster for this movie nothing is going to change with the 2nd film in the series.

Rodriguez, who previously directed From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City and Sharkboy and Lavagirl, is known for being a quick worker and Machete Kills was apparently filmed in just 29 days. His first full length movie El Mariachi is famous for being made with a budget of just $7k and it is worth getting it out on dvd to see from the extras exactly how you can shoot a low-budget movie.

As well as featuring Sofia the movie also stars Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard, Antonio Banderas, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens and Cuba Gooding Jr to name but some of the cast.

As you can see from the movie poster for Machete Kills Sofia’s character of Madame Desdemona has an interesting choice of weapon. We are sure that people have referred to Sofia as having ‘killer breasts’ before but never can that expression have been so apt. As you can see Sofia is wearing a gun bra which is shooting off at a fair rate of knots.

Sofia has said before that she is a 32F bra size but whether there needs to be an even bigger cup size on this particular bra to allow for the extra ammunition isn’t known.

It is not the first time we have seen a case of the killer boobs hit our screens as most famously Austin Powers battled the fembots (aka gynoids) in several comedy movies. As well as the usual fembots he faced, both Liz Hurley and Britney Spears dressed up as the girls with the big guns. Sofia Vergara Flashes Her Rear In Selfie – the 40-year old Colombian actress decided to share an intimate photo with her WhoSay followers.

Vergara posted a photo of herself wearing a ting pink thong bikini that barely covered her pert bottom.

She is currently on holiday with her fiance Nick Loeb who is shown in some of the other pictures that she posted.

Although Sofia is best known for two other features it was her bum that made it to the spotlight this time. Surprisingly she has talked before about her favourite features and it is not her boobs or even her bottom but her eyes and her waist that she rates highest.

The Modern Family actress has been featured topless before in Playboy Mexico and has also not been shy of showing off her curvy figure to the cameras at red carpet events.

Sofia Vergara Poured Into Swimsuit On Greek Holiday – the Modern Family star looks to be having a great break with her partner Nick Loeb as they holiday in the Greek Isles.

As you would expect from the curvy Colombian beauty she looked all woman as she wore a sexy cut-away swimsuit for her trip to the beach.

She has always be known for her great body and in particular her cleavage and it was easy to see why in this latest beach outfit. Although the outfit was a plain black in colour it had some very intricate cut out sections and was pulled together using some stylish diamanté accessories.

Sofia has been quite happy in recent months to share photos of her many foreign breaks with her legion of fans. She has posted a number of photos of herself on her WhoSay account. It would be hard to guess that the actress was now 41-years old as she looked stunning in the very unforgiving swimsuit and it is clear that no matter how good her genes are she must work hard to keep in this sort of shape.

Sofia was seen later in another trip to the beach when she wore a very colourful Agent Provocateur swimsuit but we felt that this earlier outfit had the edge when it came to showing off that Colombian killer body.

In several recent interviews Sofia has made reference to how she has arranged to have her eggs frozen in case she and Nick wish to start their own family. She is already on record as saying that she will have to use a surrogate for any further pregnancies as she had radiation treatment a number of years ago when she was suffering from thyroid cancer.

It was confirmed a couple of months ago that Modern Family would be returning for a 5th season later this year. The new season will see the show move past its 100th episode (there have been a total of 96 episodes shot so far). There is no confirmed date yet for the 5th Season’s opener but almost certainly we will have to wait a little longer to see it here in the UK than US audiences do.

Sofia Vergara and Sharon Stone Have Threesome in New Movie – the official trailer has been released for the new John Turturro movie Fading Gigolo.

Now if you had written and directed a movie starring both Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara and the plot called for a man to make up a threesome with these lovely ladies who do you think might get picked to play the part?

Yes, that’s right John Turturro (The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou?) plays the role of Fiorovante a shop worker who is talked into working as a part-time male prostitute by his friend Murray, played by Woody Allen in a rare turn in another director’s movie. In fact the last time Woody appeared in another director’s movie was back in 2000 when he played the part of Tex Cowley in Alfonso Arau’s Picking Up The Pieces. That movie also starred Sharon Stone who played Woody’s unfaithful wife.

In the new movie it is no surprise to see that having written himself into a threesome with Stone and Vergara, John Turturro has also written in plenty of shots of the two ladies in sexy lingerie.

Today’s trailer gives a good feel for the movie, which is to be premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in early September.

As well as Turturro, Stone, Vergara and Allen the movie, which we should explain is a comedy, also stars Liev Schreiber and Vanessa Paradis.

Fading Gigolo is going on release in the US after its appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival but there is no date confirmed yet for its UK cinema release.

Best of the Red Carpet Action from the Emmys and the Award Winners – last night was the big night for the television industry with the award of the 2013 Emmys.

The awards are the tv equivalent of the Oscars for the movie industry, the Tony awards for the theatre industry or the Grammys for the music industry.

Tonights awards were the 65th and were held as always in LA, this year’s venue being the Nokia Theatre in Downtown LA.

The big winners last night as far as the shows themselves go were Breaking Bad, which won the Best Drama Series award ahead of UK hope Downton Abbey, and Modern Family, which won the hotly contested Best Comedy Series award which many people had thought would go to The Big Bang Theory.

As far as the Outstanding Miniseries or Movie category goes the award went, just as expected by most observers, to the Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra. NBC’s The Voice took the award for the Outstanding Reality or Competition programme.

Before all the prizes were dished out though there was the matter of a top-notch red carpet showing to see and here are some of the main highlights as far as the Primetime Emmy fashions go.

Lena Headey from Game of Thrones surprised many people when she took to the red carpet wearing a sexy partly see-through black lace dress which not only showed off lots of cleavage but also her legs and most of what little underwear she had on.

As you would expect on the night of the US television industry’s top awards Sofia Vergara looked well up to scratch in a typically form-fitting red gown from Vera Wang that did a great job of showing off those famous Latino curves and that famous cleavage.

In fact Giuliana Rancic from E! said to the Colombian actress ’Your dress has the hardest job on this red carpet keeping all that sexiness under control!’

Some 24 years younger than Sofia but also getting plenty of red carpet attention was Kim Basinger’s daughter Ireland Baldwin who was at the Emmys with her father Alec, who had been nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in 30 Rock. In the end Alec lost out to Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory but neither he nor daughter Ireland looked too disappointed.

Just like Sofia Vergara Christina Hendricks from Mad Men gets plenty of attention for her all-woman figure. She wore a classy black gown that clung in all the right places.

The big fashion news from the UK contingent came from Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery who wore a scarlet and burgundy two-tone Prada gown. The gown was completely backless but did have a bow and despite getting lots of attention opinion was divided as to whether the outfit was a hit or a miss.

Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day - the stars of the top-rated ABC comedy show were all on show as around 1k devoted fans of the show got a chance to get close to the cast.

Although Modern Family is still an ABC series this particular event was sponsored by cable channel USA Network who have picked up the series and are showing it every weeknight. The event, which was held in Westwood, California, was also used to help raise awareness of the Feeding America charity which helps provide meals for needy US families.

One of the highlights of the day for the lucky invited fans was a special read-through by the whole cast of the fan’s favourite episode of the show. This was Caught In The Act’ which was the 13th episode of the 2nd series of the show. The main plot of the show revolved around the embarrassment felt by everyone when the Dunphy children walk in on their parents having sex.

One of the show’s creators Steve Levitan has since revealed that the plot of the show was based on a real life incident when his own daughter walked in on him and his wife. Although the show initially received somewhat mixed reviews it soon proved to be a favourite amongst the show’s fans and was later nominated for that year’s Outstanding Writing Award at the Emmy’s, going on to win the award.

As you would expect the Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day produced some fine red carpet performances from the cast with one surprise addition.

Sofia Vergara is seen by most as the show’s major star and the curvy Colombian actress didn’t disappoint her fans as she turned up wearing a black top matched with a pair of very tight leather trousers.

Julie Bowen wore a less sexy but quite eye-catching blue mermaid style dress with some high strappy heels.

However it was 15-year old Ariel Winter who plays the normally geeky looking Alex Dunphy on the show who surprised everyone as she wore a very grown up looking white top with a see-through black panel in the back and matched it with some black trousers and a pair of skyscraper heels.

A Q&A session held with fans during the event allowed for the chance to find out what is planned for future episodes of Modern Family. Writer Steve Levitan said that after the team had such a great chance in the country for Sofia Vergara’s 40th birthday they hoped to shoot at least one future episode in Colombia, where many of Sofia’s family still live.

Sofia Vergara Named Top Earning TV Actress As Rumours Circulate of Split With Fiancé – it seems like it is good and bad news for curvy Modern Family star Sofia Vergara this week.

She has just been named the highest paid actress on US tv with an estimated annual haul of $30m over the last 12 months. As well as her substantial salary earned playing the part of ditzy Gloria in Modern Family Sofia also earns large sums from her lucrative endorsement deals with companies such as Kmart and Diet Pepsi.

The 41-year old is known as a clever businesswoman despite her rather dumb image on tv and says that she likes to make the most of the fact that people expect her to be something of a ‘bimbo’ like Gloria.

Talking to Glam Belleza Latina the model and actress said that she actually saves and invests the majority of her earnings. She said to the magazine ‘I’m not ashamed to say I love making money.’

The bad news for Sofia this week appears to be that her relationship with fiancé Nick Loeb looks to be on the skids. One reason is also linked to cash as the businessman is said to be less than impressed at the amount of support he has received from Sofia for his Onion Crunch, a food topping made from crispy fried onions.

It is not believed to be the first time the pair have fallen out over the product as Sofia is alleged to have stopped Nick from trying to smuggle in a bottle of Onion Crunch into the White House when the cast of Modern Family was invited to meet President Obama.

Speaking to InTouch Weekly a source close to the actress has said that the businessman was not with Sofia for the recent Thanksgiving celebrations. ‘The fact that Nick wasn’t with her family on Thanksgiving speaks volumes.’

It is not the first time that word has surfaced of trouble between Sofia and the man the New York Times referred to as ‘Mr Condiment’ as they had a rather public row whilst on holiday together  in The Hamptons this summer.

We are not sure what is going on at the moment though as after some time without a mention of Loeb on any of her social media posts Sofia posted a photo on Twitter of them both at a New York Giants game this weekend with the caption: ’Sunday fun at the @Giants game with @DietPepsi!!,’

To further add to the confusion Sofia was seen without her engagement ring at a meal in West Hollywood with some friends last month.

One thing is for sure if this is the end of the line for the relationship Sofia will have no shortage of men queueing up for a date. The busty actress is said to be one of the main reasons behind the popularity of Modern Family and she has a strong fanbase in the US,and here in the UK as well as in South America.
